RESC Partners With Clients For Charity Endeavour
Over the past few years, RE Support and Coaching (RESC) has sponsored Tan-Tan – a child in need who lives in the Philippines.
Now, RESC is excited to extend its charity endeavours to its clientele!
RESC has partnered with worldwide sponsorship organisation Compassion to offer interested clients the opportunity for RESC to pay to sponsor a child on their behalf.
“Sponsoring Tan-Tan is such a rewarding experience; I love receiving letters and drawings from him and seeing him grow, knowing we are making an incredible difference in his life,” RESC Founder and Managing Director Raquel Edwards said.
In the Philippines, Compassion partners with 450 local churches to support the community.
Compassion’s sponsorship efforts include the provision of home-based care, nutritious meals and medical check-ups.
The organisation also funds church-based activities like camps and sporting events; and delivers educational and skill-building workshops on self-esteem, conflict-resolution, letter writing, career planning, health and hygiene practices, and bible studies.
“Sponsoring a child is wonderful way to look outside yourself and your own personal circumstances; it’s incredibly empowering when you see firsthand how much more enriched a child’s life can be when they are sponsored,” Raquel said.
“Receiving letters from your sponsored child also provides a deep sense of connection, community and purpose, and it’s my vision that our clients will thoroughly enjoy these communications too. I can’t wait to share this wonderful feeling with them,” she said.
SPREADING COMPASSION: Thanks to a new business partnership with Compassion, RE Support and Coaching (RESC) will sponsor a child in the Philippines on behalf of each interested client. Pictured is a drawing by RESC’s first sponsorship child, Tan-Tan, when he was aged 6.
How it works
All RESC clients will be offered an opportunity to have RESC pay for them to sponsor a child through Compassion.
RESC will fund 100% of all sponsorship payments. Clients will not incur any cost associated with the sponsorship.
Clients will receive correspondence from their sponsored child directly in the mail. It is RESC’s vision this will provide clients with a deep sense of connection, community and purpose.
Should a client move on from RESC, RESC will continue to sponsor the child. Alternatively, if the client wishes to, the client will be permitted to inherit the sponsorship arrangement.
