Jessica Abueg

Support Worker

When Jessica’s beloved grandmother became unwell, Jessica didn’t hesitate to be by her side.

Jessica spent two years caring for her grandmother before she sadly passed away.

This experience was a turning point for Jessica who previously specialised in the field of computer science.

Jessica has now transitioned to the role of Support Worker because she has a deep desire to ensure the people around her feel comfortable and comforted.

“It’s an honour to help clients with all aspects of their everyday lives," Jessica says.

"I make sure they feel comfortable, and their needs and goals are met.”

“Sometimes clients want to get out into community, or they need support with essential tasks like going to the doctors, buying medicines, or cooking meals.”

“Other times they just want to enjoy a cup of coffee and have someone listen to their stories. All of these experiences are equally important, and I find them equally rewarding. There’s nothing else I’d rather be doing.”
