Dulce Atanacio
Support Worker
Reliability is imperative when it comes to being a Support Worker, and Dulce wholeheartedly embodies this attribute.
“I once had a client who asked me to check on her in an hour. When I returned, she thanked me dearly for not forgetting her. Being dependable is so important because it builds trust and shows you really care,” Dulce says.
In addition to being reliable, trustworthy and loyal, Dulce enjoys embracing change — she’s always finding new ways to be the best version of herself and loves to help her clients do the same.
Dulce’s personal mantra is: “Change is constant, and there’s always a better way of doing things.”
This is reflected in Dulce’s recent country and career change, whereby she relinquished her 25-year accounting career in the Philippines to return to study and serve others as a Support Worker in Australia.
Dulce has since achieved a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) and is on the cusp of completing an impressive Diploma of Community Services.
“I enjoy helping people maintain their independence and live their best lives,” Dulce says.
